Membership Categories of the College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of Sri Lanka
COMSSL will have the following types of membership
1. Ordinary – Fellows in the COMSSL shall be open to those who are board certified or deemed to have been board certified in oral surgery by the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine provided they are currently engaged in the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery Sri Lanka.
2.Trainee membership – Trainee membership in the COMSSL shall be open to those who are undergoing training in Oral and maxillofacial Surgery in the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine.
3. Honorary Fellowship – Honorary Fellowship may be awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to the development of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery in Sri Lanka.
4. Associate Membership – Those who are associated with the COMSSL in training and other activities would be eligible for associate membership.
5. Fellowship – Those who had been fellows of the COMSSL but who have retired from active practice of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery will continue their Fellowship.
Membership Fees
1. The annual membership fee for ordinary / associate would be Rs. 1,000/= per annum
2. Trainee membership fees would be Rs. 500/= per annum
3. Ordinary/associate would be entitled to life membership on the payment of Rs. 8,000/=
